Drawbacks Of The Alternative Energy

The world over, there is concern environmental damage caused by the means through which energy needs are being met. This is because of negative factors like erratic weather patterns that have an effect on essential activities such as farming. Global warning and a compromised Ozone layer are other destructive effects. One of the measures that have been fronted to preserve the earth is adapting the use of the alternative energy resource.

This is free energy sourced from nature without any environmental disturbance. This includes the use of the energy from the sun, the wind,Formal Tuxedos, biofuel from biological waste and hydro power from water bodies. Such power would be tapped into and used in place of manufactured power such as fuel and coal and firewood which is commonly used in third world countries. This would also bring down the quantities of toxic waste.

There are differing stands and opinions on this though. Opponents have raised the issue of the cost of replacing existing machinery and systems with those that would use natural power sources.

Other rationale that opponents offer is the release of harmful gases such as those green houses emanate. There is also the argument that green energy cannot be used to keep up production in industrial plants. This, it is said, would have the ripple effect of lowering production and returns. The bottom line of this would be a slowed down economy, lowered income for households and companies and reduced taxes for governments.

Other reasons those opposed to green power have fronted is that the use of alternative energy is not feasible in some sectors and industries. These include the air transport sector as relates to air crafts as well as related machinery like space crafts used to research outside frontiers. This argument has been countered by the fact that there are hybrid cars and thus planes can also be developed to use natural resources or at least reduce use of artificial sources.
